After breakfast, your guide/driver will pick you up at your hotel for a guided visit to Irazu Volcano. Get close to an active volcano and the beautiful nature surrounding it.
Then, get back to San Jose for a guided visit to the main cultural attractions of San Jose like the Central Market, the National Theater and visit the Jade Museum or the Children Museum (available according to the Museum schedule).

After breakfast at your hotel, your driver/guide will pick you up and take a road trip to the Arenal volcano region. Along the way, stop at the artisan town of Sarchi famous for the iconic Costa Rican painted oxcarts. Visit an old oxcart factory still powered the traditional way by a waterwheel. Then learn to paint your wheel with a local artisan.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Then choose from one of the following 1/2 day activities.

Following breakfast, hit the road again with our private driver/guide to the beach town of Punta Leona on the Central Pacific Coast. Along the way, stop at the Tárcoles River, enjoy a river safari boat tour. Get up close to 17-feet long crocodiles, magnificent birds, and wildlife. Enjoy lunch before continuing on to your beach hotel on the Central Pacific Coast.

The Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is an ecologically diverse region known as the transitional rainforest. National Parks and private reserves in the area are teaming with wildlife. It’s quieter white sand beaches are wonderful for relaxing and playing as a family. There is also great surfing and snorkeling in the warm clear waters.
On this beach day, enjoy the beach and facilities at your hotel. Your guide/driver is available if you want to explore the area, see neighboring beaches and towns, go out for lunch or dinner, visit the supermarket, make spa reservations or just to help you out with the kids.

It’s time to head home today. After breakfast, your driver/guide will drive you from your hotel in the Central Pacific Coast to San Jose Airport. The Transfer from Punta Leona to San Jose is 90 minutes. We recommend booking an afternoon flight for your return home. Remember that you have to be at the airport 3 hours before your flight at the airport.
